Shifting the Sprinkler Paradigm

What was once thought to be impossible, is now a reality…a lightweight, high-heat tested, anti-corrosive polymeric sprinkler. Rigorous UL 199 test protocol shows the Tyco® Series LFII 4.9K Lead-Free for 13D and 13R Concealed Pendent Sprinkler (TY3534) performs to standard brass sprinkler testing and beyond. And, it’s an industry first – a dependable, cost-effective alternative to brass, with ¾” adjustability and ease of installation using Tyco Rapid Seal Adapters.

The flat-plate concealed design allows for an uninterrupted design aesthetic for residential applications. This sprinkler offers long-lasting dependable protection for a wide range of residential buildings specified under NFPA 13D and 13R. This includes low-rise residential structures of four stories or less as scoped under NFPA 13R as well as one-and two-family homes of any size as scoped under NFPA 13D.

The Tyco LFII 4.9K Lead-Free Sprinkler is manufactured with a polymeric material that carries anti-heat and anti-corrosion properties. These properties help to extend the life and value of the sprinkler compared to similar brass products. The sprinkler is certified to NSF 372 and NSF 61 to ensure compatibility with safe drinking water and lead-free plumbing requirements.

The Tyco Series LFII 4.9K Lead-Free Concealed Pendent Sprinkler is available in both ordinary 155°F (68°C) and intermediate 200°F (93°C) temperature configurations. In addition, this sprinkler utilizes a unique breakaway wrench, which fragments if too much pressure is applied, helping to prevent over-torquing (torque limit: 7lb-ft, 9.5N-m). The Tyco Series LFII 4.9K Lead-Free Concealed Pendent Sprinkler complements a full line of Johnson Controls fire suppression products. Together, they help serve the company’s mission of reimagining building performance to support healthy people, healthy places and a healthy planet.
