AFSA Announces Free Webinar Series

Eleven Webinars Help Members Move Forward During COVID-19 Crisis

The American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) is working to keep the fire sprinkler industry moving forward throughout the month of April and May. When AFSA asked its members what else it could do to help during these uncertain times, they responded: offer more virtual professional development opportunities. So that’s exactly what AFSA is doing.

“In these unusual circumstances where our everyday life is being impacted deeply, it has never been more important for AFSA to help and support our community,” says Marlene Garrett, CMP, vice president of program operations and educational services. “These webinars are just one of the ways we are advising and supporting members in order for them to steer their way through this uncertain time in the best possible way.”

Over the next eight weeks, AFSA is providing 11 more webinars for members, free-of-charge including CEUs. Fire sprinkler professionals hoping to strengthen their industry understanding and knowledge during the coronavirus pandemic can take advantage of free educational AFSA webinars beginning next week.

The enhanced webinar series kicks off April 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Central with “Strategic Response to the COVID-19 Crisis” and continues through May 28 at 11:00 a.m. Central with “NFPA 13, 2019 Edition: A New Approach to the Protection of Storage.” The 90-minute-long webinars will cover topics including COVID-19, codes and installation issues.
